only one：there is 和 there are 的基本用法

今天來認識 only one 重點：there is 和 there are。這兩個句型常用來說明「有」某個東西，但要看後面是單數還是複數。

there is 用在單數或不可數名詞前。意思是「有一個（或一點）」。
there are 用在複數名詞前。意思是「有很多（或多個）」。

簡單例句請看：

There is a cat on the sofa.
沙發上有一隻貓。

There is some milk in the fridge.
冰箱裡有些牛奶。

There are three books on the table.
桌上有三本書。

There are many students in the classroom.
教室裡有很多學生。

There is a problem with the computer.
電腦有一個問題。

初學者容易犯的錯誤
很多人會用 there are 接單數名詞，像是說「there are a dog」，這樣不對。
還有人忘了加 s 用在複數，會說「there is two cats」，這也是錯誤的。

講「有」東西時，先看你要說的是「一個」還是「多個」，選擇 there is 或 there are，這樣就能說對了。
